Refund, Cancellation & Returns Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
1. General Information
This policy outlines the general principles governing payments, cancellations, refunds, and returns for activities and services offered by ArtDifferent Studio. ArtDifferent Studio is operated by 上海和道盛源商贸有限公司, Shanghai Hedao Shengyuan Trading Co., Ltd., a company registered in the People’s Republic of China. Our business activities include cultural and artistic exchange, creative collaborations, project coordination, consulting, global sourcing, and related commercial services.
Because our programmes and projects differ in nature, specific terms may apply to individual activities, agreements, or purchases. This policy should be read together with any applicable programme-specific terms, participation agreements, quotations, or service contracts.
2. Cultural Exchange Programmes and Service Partners
ArtDifferent Studio develops and coordinates cultural and artistic exchange programmes, which may include educational activities, workshops, visits to cultural institutions, artistic experiences, and other related activities.
Depending on the programme, we may work with independent service providers, including appropriately qualified or licensed travel agencies, accommodation providers, transportation companies, venues, and cultural institutions.
The services provided by ArtDifferent Studio and the responsibilities of participating service providers may vary between programmes.
Where relevant, the applicable programme information or agreement will identify the responsible contracting parties and arrangements for the services included.
The involvement of third-party providers does not alter any obligations that ArtDifferent Studio may have under applicable law or its contractual commitments.
3. Programme-Specific Terms
Each cultural exchange programme may have its own payment, cancellation, transfer, and refund conditions.
These may specify:
- Programme dates, fees, and included services.
- Reservation deposits and payment deadlines.
- Cancellation deadlines and applicable refund calculations.
- Registration-transfer arrangements.
- Minimum participant requirements.
- Programme changes and cancellation procedures.
- Responsibilities of participating service providers.
Programme-specific terms will be provided before a binding registration is completed.
Where the programme-specific terms differ from this general policy, the programme-specific terms will apply to that programme, subject to applicable law and any governing participation agreement.
Terms for one programme or year do not automatically apply to another.
4. Registration and Payment
Registration requirements depend on the activity or service.
Certain programmes may require payment in full, while others may provide for deposits and subsequent instalments.
Payment instructions, deadlines, and the relevant payment recipient will be identified in the applicable booking information or agreement.
A registration is considered confirmed when the applicable registration requirements have been fulfilled and confirmation has been issued by the responsible contracting party.
Customers should review all programme information and contractual conditions before making payment.
5. Cancellation by Participants
Participants wishing to cancel their registration should notify the designated programme contact in writing.
The applicable refund, if any, will be determined according to the programme-specific cancellation conditions, contractual arrangements, and relevant legal requirements.
Cancellation conditions may take into consideration advance planning, reserved participant places, supplier commitments, administrative preparation, and other costs associated with a limited-capacity programme.
Any cancellation fees or deductions must comply with applicable law.
Personal circumstances, including illness, professional commitments, or changes in travel plans, do not automatically entitle a participant to a full refund unless provided for by the applicable terms or required by law.
We recommend that participants consider appropriate insurance for their individual circumstances.
6. Cancellation or Modification of Programmes
ArtDifferent Studio and its programme partners aim to deliver activities according to the published programme arrangements.
However, reasonable modifications may occasionally be necessary due to operational circumstances, venue availability, supplier changes, safety considerations, or other relevant factors.
Where significant changes or cancellation become necessary, affected participants will be informed of the circumstances and available options.
Depending on the applicable agreement and legal requirements, these options may include alternative arrangements, rescheduling, or a refund.
Where a programme cannot proceed because minimum participation requirements have not been met, the relevant programme terms will explain the cancellation and refund arrangements.
Nothing in this section limits statutory refund or cancellation rights.
7. Circumstances Beyond Reasonable Control
Events beyond the reasonable control of the relevant parties may affect programme delivery.
These may include natural disasters, severe weather, public-health emergencies, government restrictions, transportation disruptions, and other extraordinary circumstances.
In such cases, the responsible parties will assess the situation and communicate the available arrangements.
The treatment of prepaid expenses, alternative arrangements, cancellations, and refunds will be determined according to the applicable agreement and mandatory legal requirements.
8. Participant Responsibilities
Participants are responsible for providing accurate information required for registration and for fulfilling personal obligations communicated before participation.
These may include obtaining appropriate passports, visas, insurance, and other relevant documents, where applicable.
Participants should review programme requirements carefully and inform the relevant organiser or coordinator of material circumstances that may affect participation.
Failure to meet individual participation requirements may affect the ability to attend and may result in the application of relevant cancellation conditions.
Nothing in this section excludes obligations legally owed by the responsible programme providers.
9. Unused Services and Activities
Where participants voluntarily choose not to attend an included activity or independently shorten their participation, unused services do not automatically qualify for a refund.
Any applicable refund will depend on the specific programme terms, the circumstances, and mandatory legal rights.
Where an agreed service is not provided as required, appropriate remedies will be determined under the relevant agreement and applicable law.
10. Creative Collaborations and Business Services
Creative collaborations, product development, global sourcing, manufacturing coordination, and other commercial projects may be governed by individually agreed conditions.
These may include project deposits, design fees, sampling expenses, production commitments, delivery milestones, and cancellation arrangements.
Any cancellation, amendment, or refund will be assessed according to the relevant quotation, invoice, project agreement, work already completed, properly incurred obligations, and applicable law.
Customised or commissioned work may be subject to additional conditions communicated before confirmation.
11. Products and Returns
Where ArtDifferent Studio offers physical products for sale, applicable return and refund conditions will be communicated through the relevant product information or sales terms.
For damaged, defective, or incorrectly supplied products, customers should contact us with their order details and a description of the problem.
Appropriate remedies will be provided according to the applicable agreement and legal requirements.
For other return requests, eligibility, deadlines, return-shipping responsibilities, and procedures will depend on the applicable sales conditions.
Customers should contact ArtDifferent Studio before returning a product.
12. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will normally be processed through the original payment method or another mutually agreed arrangement.
Where payments involve international bank transfers or currency conversion, transaction charges and exchange-rate differences may arise.
The treatment of such amounts will depend on the applicable payment terms and legal requirements.
Refunds will be processed within the period required by applicable law or, where no specific deadline applies, within a reasonable period after the refund has been approved and the necessary payment details confirmed.
13. Third-Party Services
Certain programmes and projects may involve independent third-party providers.
These providers may have their own operational requirements, booking conditions, and contractual responsibilities.
Where customers enter into separate agreements directly with third-party providers, those agreements may govern the relevant services.
Where services are included in an agreement with ArtDifferent Studio, the responsibilities of the contracting parties will be determined according to that agreement and applicable law.
ArtDifferent Studio does not exclude responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Collaboration with InkDifferent Studio
ArtDifferent Studio may collaborate with InkDifferent Studio, an independent Belgium-based business, on artistic, educational, and cultural activities.
The nature and scope of this collaboration may differ between programmes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in the relevant agreement, purchases and services contracted directly with ArtDifferent Studio are distinct from those contracted separately with InkDifferent Studio.
The responsible contracting parties will be identified in the applicable transaction documents.
15. Governing Law and Applicable Rights
ArtDifferent Studio is operated by 上海和道盛源商贸有限公司, Shanghai Hedao Shengyuan Trading Co., Ltd., registered in the People’s Republic of China.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, contracts entered into directly with the company are intended to be governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, subject to applicable conflict-of-law rules and mandatory legal requirements.
Specific agreements may contain additional provisions concerning applicable law, contractual responsibilities, and dispute resolution.
Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
16. Policy Updates
ArtDifferent Studio may update this general policy to reflect changes in its services, operations, or applicable legal requirements.
The latest version will be available on our website.
Updates do not automatically alter the terms of existing confirmed agreements unless legally permitted or mutually agreed.
